Learn MoreI love the thrill of playing a high intensity game that others would doubt that I could play. Besides winning and scoring the best part of playing a sport like rugby is proving everyone wrong and showing that I can do anything that people think I can’t.
One of my old coaches KB Slaughter who plays for the Denver Onyx has been one of my biggest inspirations. She works her butt off on the field and no matter what happens to her she gets right back out there and plays like nothing happened. That’s the type of strength that could lead an army and that’s the strength I want to carry.
Back in my earlier seasons I would make around 5 tries a game and I was dominating the field. That was my favorite experience- not because I myself was doing well but because I was leading and bringing my team to victory by being brave enough to do what no one else was. I was doing every workout, eating right, getting the right headspace- so that I could be a leader on and off the field. I’m most proud of the work I did off the field so I could be great on the field.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
