Ashton’s biggest inspiration is Sam Kuch, a freeride skier from Nelson, BC. He admires Sam’s incredible skill, passion for the mountains, and humble attitude. Watching Sam push his limits while staying true to his love of skiing inspires Ashton to work hard, keep improving, and enjoy every day on the snow. Sam has shown him that dedication, perseverance, and having fun can all go hand in hand.
Ashton’s proudest athletic achievement was finishing in the top 50% at this year’s Whistler Cup. He dedicated himself to training, worked hard to improve his skills, and stayed focused throughout the season. Reaching this milestone showed him that commitment and perseverance pay off. It gave him confidence in his abilities and motivated him to keep setting higher goals and challenging himself on the mountain.
