What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves to be pushed to his full potential. He likes high pressured moments to put himself in a position to be challenged. He also loves to lead others. He knows when to encourage and when to hold teammates accountable. He is also grateful for the time invested in him and takes it to heart. Though a great athlete, he never shies away from shining the light on others.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Recently, Aspen wrote a journal entry for school regarding his baseball coach, Coach JohnB Conger as being an inspiring role model for him. Conger focuses on development and player potential, not allowing weather or other distractions to keep them from training. Aspen said he feels inspired by the belief that we put in work when others don’t and that’s how we become the best versions of ourselves.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

At a baseball tournament this summer (2026), Aspen was pitching in the championship game. The coach on the other team began heckling him and making critical comments openly, and loudly, about his performance, his focus, and his abilities. Although upsetting to him, he took moments to breathe, focus, and drown him out. He pitched incredibly well for as long as the team needed him. Aspen felt it gave him a reminder of his own strength and confidence and a sense of self-reliance.
