What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Sports is life for Atlas! From football to baseball! Every day after school he’s ready to practice. He’s the best teammate, always supporting his squad and striving to get better each day. He faces adversity head on and truly wants to perfect his craft. The grind doesn’t stop for Atlas. Not only is he a great player & teammate, but he’s an outstanding student. School always comes 1st but every minute he’s not in school revolves around sports. He currently plays flag ftbl and travel bsbl.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His father is his idol. My husband is a IL state trooper who played baseball in high school but played football and then D2 college football. They work and grind almost every day. He loves D’Andre Swift, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. His dad is his all star idol though. Atlas adores his coaches and is always eager to learn. My husband coaches his football team and assistant coaches his baseball team. Sports means family in our house. He and his dad have started a YouTube channel too!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Atlas just got into the baseball world. He played an in house team but has now made the top team for our local travel baseball team - Wasco Travel Baseball. We are so proud that he has broadened his horizons & is crushing it in not only flag football, but travel baseball now too. He overcame his fears, tried out, & made the top team for travel baseball. We just had our football jamboree & he made great plays, supported his team and won both games. As for baseball, he’s playing 9u teams as a 8U.
