What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

It trains his mind and body. He loves his teammates as well. He is kind to them and shows them respect.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Justin McCombs, his father, encourages him to strive for the best He can be. His father works out with him every night. His older brother, Christian, encourages him and helps him with his technique. Christian was a Wide Receiver when he was in high school, the same position Avery. His mother,of course has always encouraged him and is his biggest fan.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This year he was injured with a bone chip on his hip He has to stay off of it for 3 weeks-then another 4 weeks in PT. His attitude was so positive and he was determined to get back on the field and support his team. I was so proud of his attitude and strong commitment! He worked very hard at healing his body.
