Learn MoreAviel loves community! He is not the most talkative and usually the most quiet person in the room so being on a team is important for his development as a young black man navigating life as a teen.
God is 1st for without Him his gifts and athleticism would be nonexistent! His family, mainly his older brother Avilon, who is a Broadway star and has accomplished so much in only 23 years. He sees that dreams really can come true with hard work and support because he has the proof right in front of him.
Aviel did not make the soccer team in the seventh grade, because his work ethic was not up to par. He took for granted that making the team in the sixth grade was a given for the upcoming years, but it wasn’t. after that frustrating year, Avi realized that anything worth having was going to take hard work. Forward to now, he trains every summer for hours on end, tried out for club & High School teams! Triumph! He made all teams and he has not stopped since. He learned to be humble!
