Learn MoreAxel’s favorite part of playing sports is the ability to grow and continue to get better in everything he does. He is coachable, shows sportsmanship and loves to play with his friends and work towards his goals. He studies professional athletes, he watches games to improve his skills, he practice every single day and he loves every aspect of sports and school.
Axel said that the person that inspires him is “my dad because he keeps making me work harder.” “Also my coaches because they help me get better at all the sports I do!”
This season in football he went up to all four of his coaches, at age 9, to talk to them about his passion and the position that he wants to grow in. He did this on his own and asked what he needed to do to get better, prove himself, and continue to grow. I was so proud that he had the courage to do this and did it unprompted. It was so brave of him and shows that he is willing to put in the work to deliver the results. There are many moments that he makes me proud but this was the most recent.
