What she loves most about playing volleyball, is that there are no dull moments on the court and the energy is always high. She loves leading her teammates and showing them new skills and techniques.
Micah Christenson from the US Men's National volleyball team inspires her. He is a captain and he leads the team which is the role she has adapted to over the years. He is also fun to watch because he makes great plays for the team.
My proudest moment has been during the recruiting process because Ayana has been overlooked as a player, for a number of reasons including height, skin color and body type, but she has stayed the course and keeps on pushing not giving up on her dream to play in college.
