Ayla’s dedication to gymnastics, relentless work ethic, and love for the sport have helped her grow into a confident athlete and teammate.
Thank you for supporting Ayla in this competition. Your participation made a huge impact for the Why Not You Foundation and their mission to empower change in the world, one individual at a time and one child at a time.
What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreAyla loves that gymnastics challenges her to become a little better every day. She enjoys learning new skills, setting goals, and seeing her hard work pay off. She looks forward to every practice and even spends time practicing at home because she genuinely loves the sport. Most of all, she enjoys competing, supporting her teammates, and having fun while doing what she loves.
Ayla is inspired by her coaches and the older gymnasts she trains with. They encourage her to work hard, stay positive, and never give up when a skill is difficult. Their dedication motivates her to keep practicing, both in the gym and at home, and reminds her that success comes from perseverance, confidence, and a love for learning.
One of my proudest moments was watching Ayla earn the highest floor score at the Jekyll Island gymnastics meet across all Bronze age groups and divisions. That accomplishment reflected months of hard work. She loves going to practice, practices at home because she enjoys it, and never gives up on a difficult skill. Watching her confidence, perseverance, and love for gymnastics grow has made me proud every step of the way.
