”What I love most about fencing is that it gives me the opportunity to travel around the world, meet new people, and experience different cultures. I'm a "social Butterfly" and love new experiences. I love that fencing is such a unique sport and I get to express my emotions and personality while competing. Every bout is different, and I can have fun while challenging myself and improving my skills. The friendships and memories I have made through fencing make the sport even more special to me.”
“Kruz Shembri-McCord is someone who inspires me in fencing. He was a participant in the last Olympics and has been a great inspiration for me. He sometimes comes to my fencing club, and whenever I fence him, I feel motivated to challenge myself and improve. Each time we fence, I am able to get more touches on him than I did the time before. Seeing my progress motivates me to keep working hard, learning from every bout, and becoming a better fencer.”
The one moment in Beata's athletic journey that makes me proudest was when she won Gold for the USA at the Pan American fencing championship in Lima, Peru in the pre-cadet division … two divisions above her age group! An amazing accomplishment. Watch the link below: https://baynews9.com/fl/tampa/news/2026/07/15/10-year-old-tampa-fencer-wins-national-championship
