Receive Text UpdatesBen loves the moments when everything else disappears and it’s just him and the game. He loves the challenge, the competition, and knowing there is always one more skill to master. But more than winning, he loves proving to himself that he can do something today that he couldn’t do yesterday.
Ben is inspired by Messi, Pedri, Dembélé, Olise and Raphinha, and in basketball, Kyrie and LeBron. He loves watching what makes each of them different and will spend hours trying to recreate something he saw them do. But I think what inspires him most, on and off the field, is seeing what can happen when someone really loves something and refuses to stop working at it.
It’s not really one game or one goal. It’s all the times no one asked Ben to practice, and he went outside and did it anyway. I’ve watched him struggle with something, get frustrated, and keep going until he figures it out. Seeing that kind of drive come completely from within him is probably what makes me proudest.
