What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Bennett loves most about playing sports is the atmosphere and the sense of being part of a team. He thrives on the challenge of taking chances, pushing past doubt, and proving that passion and determination can overcome any stigma. He plays with his whole heart every time he steps onto the court. Most of all, he loves learning and is incredibly grateful to anyone willing to invest their time in coaching and helping him grow— not just as an athlete, but as a teammate and person.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

What inspires Bennett on and off the court is the people he looks up to most. He admires Jalen Brunson for his skill, poise, and confidence, especially how he never lets others intimidate him and leads with professionalism. He is also inspired by his sister’s varsity coach, often watching practices and games, learning from play calls and halftime guidance, and feeling connected to the team even from the sidelines.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in his athletic journey that makes me especially proud is his compassion and strong will. He never gives up and never backs down. He has a kind heart, and instead of pushing for a breakaway, he will stop to help someone up off the court. While living with a chronic disease presents its challenges, he doesn’t let it define or limit him. He continues to show up, keep trying, and play with heart every time. He is truly remarkable.
