Learn MoreWhat Bennett loves most about playing hockey and lacrosse is the fun he has in enjoying the thrill of the game and forming friendships to last a lifetime. He also enjoys going away to tournaments to see new places and take in the sights and experiences.
Bennett is inspired by his coaches and teammates first and foremost. Their words of encouragement, high fives, fist pumps and pats on the back keep him energized and ready for his next shift, next goal, next assist, next defensive play. He is also inspired by his family who get him to every practice and game and cheer him on from the stands, supporting his teams.
There have been a number of proud moments in Bennett’s young sporting career but last year’s U11AA hockey season as a whole was certainly something to be extremely proud of. The best moments came at the end of the year when his team made it to the OMHA Red Hats Championship Finals and he finished the season with 51 goals in a gruelling 82 game season.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
