What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Bentley has loved sports from a young age. He started with hockey, where he had the opportunity to skate on the Hamilton Bulldogs ice, and has continued to grow his passion through baseball, soccer, and football. What he loves most is being part of a team, challenging himself, learning new skills, and working hard toward his goals. He loves the excitement of competition, supporting his teammates, and the feeling of giving his best every time he plays.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Bentley’s biggest inspiration is his stepdad, Jonathan. He looks for him at every game and values his advice, whether it’s football plays, soccer moves, or baseball stances. Bentley admires Jonathan’s dedication, discipline, and commitment to always improving. From completing a Navy SEALs course in high school, to his years of training in sports and martial arts, and now working toward becoming a firefighter, Jonathan shows Bentley the importance of hard work, perseverance, and never giving up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

As Bentley’s mom, I am proud of so many moments in his athletic journey, but watching him play football has been one of the most special. He set a goal to score a touchdown every game and worked hard to achieve it, often being the only player able to score for his team. What makes me proudest is not just the touchdowns, but his determination, confidence, and the way he continues to grow while supporting his teammates.
