What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The connection. Friendship and mutual respect is a key factor in wrestling. After every match, win or loose, my opponent and myself are respectful and genuine in our happiness. Most of them, I have become friends with off the mat. It's remarkable to know that after a win or loss, we will help eachother to our feet, shake hands, smile, hug and laugh. I have never seen any other sport with this kind of community and honor. -Billi Wells

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

On the Mat* My coaches, I value their differences. They all bring a unique pont of view to how they teach me. Each one adding a special ingredient to help build me as an athlete. Off the Mat* My dad. My father's support helps me through every match I face. It brings me comfort after a hard win, or tough loss. Both my coaches and dad push me to be batter. Not just a better more competitive wrestler, but a better person. Capable of the determination needed to succeed in all aspects of life. -B

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There isn't one stand out moment that I can recall. What I'm most proud of is my dedication, I never quit when it got hard. I don't stop when it hurts. I pushed though the pain, the blood, the work, the tears, all of it. I achieved more then I though myself capable of. Being able to surprise yourself is a heavy moment. -BWells
