What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreBrandon enjoys baseball most because it gives him the chance to compete, have fun with his teammates, and challenge himself to improve. He enjoys the excitement of hitting, making plays in the field, and celebrating with his team when they succeed. Baseball also gives him a sense of accomplishment and confidence as he learns new skills and gets better.
Brandon’s grandfather Dwight inspires him because he is someone Brandon looks up to and learn from. His grandfather's love, support, hard work, and encouragement motivate Brandon to keep trying, work hard, and become the best person and baseball player he can be.
Watching Brandon step onto the baseball field and give his all each game makes me proud. Watching him grow in his skills since beginning baseball at the age of 5 not just as an athlete, but in his confidence, determination, team work and ability to keep pushing even when things get difficult-makes me extremely proud.
