He’s just an all around good person and student. At 15 and 6’3”, he has a passion for basketball but he just broke a bone in his right foot.

Join the CompetitionThe competition and the camaraderie. What I love most about basketball is competing and getting better. Every time I step on the court, there’s something I can improve. I love challenging myself, working on my game, and seeing the work pay off. My goal is to keep getting better and eventually play college basketball at the Division I level.
My dad inspires me both on and off the court because he’s always pushing me to be the best version of myself. He teaches me that talent can only take you so far—you have to work hard, stay disciplined, and keep going when things get difficult. He supports my basketball dreams, but he also reminds me that the person I become off the court is even more important than the player I become on it. I want to make him proud and show him that everything he’s invested in me was worth it.
The moment that makes me proudest isn’t a basket he made or a game he won. It’s watching Brandon continue to work toward his goals even when an injury kept him from playing the game he loves. Instead of giving up or feeling sorry for himself, he stayed focused on what he could do to improve. Seeing that determination at his age showed me that basketball is teaching him more than how to play a game—it’s teaching him resilience, discipline, and how to handle adversity.
