What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Brayden loves that volleyball challenges him in every position and requires every player to work together. He enjoys the strategy, the constant opportunity to improve, and the friendships built through the game. Most of all, he loves being part of a team where hard work, trust, and encouraging others make everyone better.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Brayden is inspired by his coaches, who challenge him to grow as both an athlete and a young man, his mom, who encourages him to work hard and keep Christ first, and professional beach volleyball player Taylor Crabb. He admires Taylor’s skill, work ethic, competitiveness, and passion for the game, and hopes to develop those same qualities while honoring God.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I’m proudest of the way Brayden has persevered through life’s challenges without giving up on his goals. Even after losing his stepdad, he continued to train, encourage his teammates, and pursue excellence with humility. Earning a spot on a top national club team was rewarding, but his character, faith, and commitment to others make me prouder than any trophy.
