What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreI love how basketball can take everything going on in my head and make it disappear for a while. When I’m on the court, I’m locked in and focused on the next play. I’m never the one that goes out there to be the leading scorer-I’m more like the ‘glue’ of my teams and I love to see my guys score and make good plays.
My biggest inspiration is my Mom. I’ve watched her work hard, sacrifice, and keep going even when things weren’t easy. She’s taught me that you don’t have to have everything handed to you to become the person you want to be. That motivates me to work harder, stay humble, and never take an opportunity for granted. On the court, I’m inspired by the guys who are willing to outwork everyone when nobody is watching. I want to be that person—the one who keeps pushing and keeps learning.
I played Varsity as a freshman this past season. We ended as State Runner Up, with our only loss being in the state championship game. My EYBL team-MOKAN Elite- went undefeated this summer and went on to win the Peach Jam championship.
