There’s nothing like stepping onto the field and knowing it’s time to compete. Football has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I eat, sleep, and breathe football. It’s more than just a sport to me; it’s something I truly love, and every time I step on the field, I feel like that’s where I belong.
My mom inspires me both on and off the field. She’s my biggest fan and has taught me to never give up, no matter how hard things get. No matter what she has been through, she continues to strive for greatness and pours that same strength and determination into me. She reminds me to pray, stay focused, and keep going because the mission isn’t complete until you accomplish what you set out to do.
Most people would think I’m proudest of his two MIAA Division II State Championships, but I’m proudest of the journey it took to get there. Entering high school, he injured his lower back, lost a year of football, his position, and for a while, himself. I watched him build himself back up, earn a starting position, and help his team win two championships. Even now, without the offers he hoped for entering his senior year, he refuses to give up.
