She proves strength has no age limit—breaking records in squat, bench and deadlift while inspiring others to believe in themselves.
Thank you for supporting Brooke in this competition. Your participation made a huge impact for the Why Not You Foundation and their mission to empower change in the world, one individual at a time and one child at a time.
What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreShe loves the challenge of powerlifting and the feeling of accomplishing something she once thought was impossible. Every meet gives her a chance to compete against herself, push past her previous best and see how much stronger she has become. She also loves the powerlifting community—the encouragement, friendships and excitement of watching everyone cheer for one another, even when they’re competing against each other.
The other competitors inspire her most. Powerlifting may be an individual sport, but it has an incredible sense of community. Everyone wants to see each other succeed. Competitors cheer for one another, celebrate personal records, and encourage each other through both wins and missed lifts. She loves being surrounded by athletes who push themselves to be stronger while genuinely wanting everyone around them to do their absolute best.
Watching her become a 6 time record holder & gold medalist makes me incredibly proud, but the moment that means the most isn’t a title. It’s watching her walk onto the platform knowing that whatever happens next is hers to earn. She has learned how to work toward something that is hard, fail without quitting, and come back stronger. Seeing that confidence and determination develop in my daughter has made me prouder than any medal ever could.
