What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Brooklyn loves the excitement of making a big play and the strategy of the game. She enjoys the feeling of seeing her hard work pay off. Flag football allows her to be confident, creative, competitive, and a leader while doing something she truly enjoys. She doesn’t just play because she wants to win—she plays because she loves the game and the person she is becoming through it.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Brooklyn’s brother and big cousin are two of her biggest inspirations, both on and off the field. They always encourage her to work hard, stay focused, and never give up, even when things get hard. Her dad also reminds her to go after her goals and believe in herself . Her mom reminds her to keep pushing, stay confident, and always try to be better than she was yesterday. Their support means a lot to her, and they inspire her to become a better athlete every time she touches the field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment was when her team was down 18–0 and the coach put her in at quarterback. She knew they had a lot of work to do, but didn’t let the score get in her head. She locked in, stayed focused, and gave the team everything she had. They fought their way back and brought the score to 18–14. Even though they didn’t win the game, I’m proud that she never gave up and played every second until the very end. That game showed me that she was more than a good athlete. She always gives her best
