What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What my daughter loves most about soccer is the feeling of being part of a team. She loves the excitement of competing, the friendships she has built, and the challenge of constantly improving. After her ACL injury, she realized just how much soccer means to her. The hard work, determination, and journey back to the field have made her appreciate every practice and every game even more. For her, soccer is more than a sport. It’s where she feels happiest, challenged, and truly herself.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

She is inspired by people who overcome challenges and never give up. Her ACL injury taught her that setbacks can become motivation. Her teammates also inspire her through their hard work, support, and determination. On and off the field, she strives to become stronger, encourage others, and keep improving. She believes that perseverance, a positive attitude, and hard work can help her achieve anything she sets her mind to.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes me proudest is watching her step back onto the soccer field after her ACL injury. She worked incredibly hard through rehabilitation, faced setbacks, and never gave up on her goal of returning. Seeing her walk onto that field again, knowing how much she sacrificed to get there, was an incredibly emotional and proud moment for me. It showed me her strength, resilience, and determination go far beyond soccer.
