Learn MoreWhat I love most about my sport is the freedom I feel when I’m getting ready to run. When I step onto the track, everything else fades away, and I can just be myself. I love the excitement before the race, knowing that I have a chance to push myself, compete, and see what I’m capable of. Running makes me feel strong, focused, and free.
My family, church family, and coach inspire me on and off the track. My family and church remind me that God is my strength and that with Him first, hard work, and faith, anything is possible. My coach pushes me to see what I’m capable of. Since training with him, I’ve accomplished more this past year than in the previous 2–3 years. They inspire me to stay humble, work hard, trust the process, and never give up.
I can’t choose just one moment because I’m proud of all the little things that make up my journey—the training sessions that make me stronger, the meets that show how far I’ve come and how much further I can go, the road trips, and all the planning and meal prep my mom does to help me succeed. Every sacrifice, lesson, and accomplishment adds up to one big thing: a journey I’m proud of.
