She loves being part of a team, making memories with her friends, and the excitement of competing. Softball has helped her grow in confidence, resilience, and sportsmanship while doing something she truly enjoys. She enjoys pushing herself to get better, celebrating big plays with her teammates, and knowing that hard work pays off.
Her biggest inspiration is God. She knows she can lean on him and praise Him in the good, bad or in between. She was meant to be courageous in her faith and knows she can do all things through Him. Also, Montana Founts for her endless motivation and desire to impact youth players has stuck with my daughter for years. She never skips a Fouts video.
One of the moments that makes me proudest wasn’t a win—it was when her confidence was at its lowest. She seriously considered quitting softball because she didn’t believe she was good enough. Instead of giving up, she kept showing up, worked hard, and found her confidence again. Watching her choose perseverance over quitting and rediscover her love for the game has been more meaningful than any trophy or championship.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
