Callan finds herself most inspired when she is participating as an athlete partner during Special Olympics. She says everyone there is having fun and even though they are competing- they all remember that these are games and meant to be fun!
I’m proudest of Callan when I watch her supporting other teammates to meet their goals. While Callan is a definite leader on the court and on the field, I love that she cheers the loudest when a teammate makes their first score in a game, or has an awesome Spike on the volleyball court. She pays attention to her teammates and encourages them when they are down and reminds them to “get out of their heads” to break the cycle.
