What Callie loves most about playing sports is creating irreplaceable memories with friends who have become like family. It’s the blend of endless joy, team spirit, and family-like connections that keeps her coming back to the field, ice, and dance floor, making every sport an unforgettable experience.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Callie is inspired on and off the field by her best friend, Ashlyn, whose matching dedication and constant encouragement push her to be her best. She also looks up to MLB player Ernie Clement. Beyond sharing a last name, Ernie models what it truly means to be a team player, showing incredible versatility and selfless hustle wherever he’s placed on the field. Both inspire Callie to play with heart, adapt to any role, and always lift up those around her.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Watching Callie at her first softball provincials, a 61-team tournament, was an unforgettable moment. After a winless season, the team rallied with relentless heart to reach the playoffs. Facing the undefeated eventual champions in round one, Callie stepped up to bat first and scored the very first run allowed against them all tournament, setting an electric tone for her team’s biggest cheerleader their incredible grit earned them 9th place overall, proving her determination and leadership.
