What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love that both sports push me in different ways. As a quarterback and free safety, football teaches me leadership, toughness, and trust in my teammates. Pole vaulting challenges me to be fearless, focused, and always improve. Pole vaulting pushes me in a different way because it's so technical, and I love the challenge of improving every detail to jump higher. I love competing, getting better every day, and proving what hard work can do.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My dad inspires me most both on and off the field. As an athlete, he shows me what true dedication looks like. I’ve seen him work hard every day, never giving up even when things get tough. His encouragement and belief in me give me confidence to keep improving and to face obstacles with a positive mindset. Off the field, he inspires me by the way he treats others. He always shows respect and kindness. Being a great athlete isn’t just about winning. It’s about being a good person too.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment was at the first track meet of his sophomore year, when he cleared 15 feet in the pole vault and broke his high school record by an incredible 9 inches. As his dad, watching all the hard work, discipline, and determination it took to get there made that moment unforgettable. It wasn’t just the height—it was seeing his commitment pay off and watching him realize what he’s capable of. I will never forget the look on his face and his reaction as he enjoyed that moment.
