What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Being a leader! Being on that mound, knowing your team is depending on you and you are depending on your team. It is the only position that the game is somewhat in your control every single pitch.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His Faith. All things through Christ. Sports are an excellent venue to modeling that faith, leaning on that faith, and trusting in that Faith.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Overcoming. He was told he would not be a pitcher and was never given the opportunity. He worked almost everyday for two years and started as a Freshman , and in his sophomore year was named the conference pitcher of the year and first team all conference.
