What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves being part of a team, building friendships with his teammates, wearing the uniform, and being part of something bigger than himself. He enjoys learning, improving every day, and helping his teammates become better players. He loves competition and isn’t afraid of a challenge. He’s usually one of the smallest players on the field, but he uses that as motivation to compete against bigger players. As his father & his coach, I’m grateful for the time we share together on the field.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His biggest inspirations are CeeDee Lamb, Russell Wilson, and Caleb Williams. He looks forward to watching them play every week and admires the way they give everything they have for their team, sacrificing their bodies and putting the team’s success ahead of themselves. More than their talent, he looks up to their leadership, determination, and resilience. They inspire him to be a leader both on and off the field, to work hard, support his teammates, and always give his best no matter what.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments as a parent is also one of the most bittersweet. When my son broke his femur, he was confined to a wheelchair. Despite everything he was going through, he never wanted to miss a practice or a game. He sat on the sidelines every chance he got, cheering on his teammates, encouraging them, and staying connected to the team he loved. Watching him show that kind of strength, resilience, and heart made me incredibly proud.
