Baseball gives him a chance to challenge himself, have fun, and encourage the people around him. He loves knowing that every game is an opportunity to get better and help his team succeed.
His family and coaches inspire him because they constantly encourage him to work hard, stay positive, and never give up. He looks up to both current and past athletes, studying their skills, work ethic, and dedication to learn what he can apply to his own game. He understands that even the best athletes never stop learning or improving. He uses the athletes he admires as motivation to push himself, compete harder, and become the best player and teammate he can be.
Watching his passion for the game grow has been one of my greatest joys. Seeing the excitement on his face after hitting a home run or making a crucial play to help his team win reminds me how much he loves baseball. But what makes me most proud is watching how much he has grown not only as an athlete, but as a leader, teammate, and competitor.
