What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreCameron has been very great at teamwork and staying positive. Being a leader and working hard makes it easy for making new friends at tournaments and local events. Competing and trying to win is something Cameron takes very seriously yet she still knows how to have fun and enjoy the game in both softball and basketball.
The girls on her dad‘s basketball team inspire her because they’re also close and connected and they play together as a team. It makes her want to play with her friends and compete as a team and be able to support each other whatever sport I play.
Attending basketball camp as a 6th grader, Cameron helped out the Kindergarten and 1st grade kids with skills and then jumped in to play with the 7th and 8th graders to even out the numbers so they could scrimmage. It shows how much she cares about other people and how she wants them to love sports as much as she does.
