Learn MoreThere is a moment when the ball leaves an opponents foot and she has to mentally decide where she needs to be defensively. Those few seconds can seem like an eternity. Camille loves that space and thrives on supporting her team at all times. She dreams to play as a goalkeeper in college and help coach other female goalkeepers in the future.
Her Father is her biggest inspiration. He has spent all of her life on dialysis or in and out of hospitals from 2 different kidney transplants over the last 20 years. On some game days that he may have been too fatigued from a dialysis treatment to attend, he always called her before she went on the field and told her to "Do your best!" So even now before every game, he hugs her and tells her those same three words to motivate her through any of life's challenges.
Camille has been a soccer goalkeeper for over 10 years. As she grew in to her sport, she quietly set a goal for herself: to be the best Goalkeeper in the County. When she achieved that goal and was selected, my heart beamed with joy.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
