What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Camille loves the excitement of competing, challenging herself and being part of a team. Whether she’s on the soccer field, basketball or volleyball court, or running in cross country and track, she loves pushing herself to improve. Most of all, she loves the friendships, teamwork and sense of belonging that sports have given her. For Camille, playing sports isn’t just about winning. It’s about having fun, working hard and sharing those moments with her teammates.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Camille is inspired by the people around her who lead by example. On the field, her coaches and teammates inspire her to work harder, stay positive and keep improving, even when things don’t go her way. Off the field, she looks up to her family, who encourage her to believe in herself, work hard and stay humble. She is especially inspired by people who show that success comes not only from talent, but from determination, kindness and never giving up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of our proudest moments was when Camille joined cross country for the first time, determined to compete alongside two of her soccer friends who were top runners. She made the team and advanced to regionals, where she pushed herself to keep pace with them. Her friends finished in the top two, and Camille finished 4th, reaching her goal of a top-five finish in a brand-new sport. It showed us that no matter what sport Camille tries, her determination allows her to make an immediate impact.
