Her grandma is battling cancer and health concerns from a stroke. Carly loves making her proud, and showing her she can be as tough as her “Maw Maw.”
She has overcome some of the unfortunate politics in youth sports that led to her being left on the bench for the last few big games of the seasons. Despite this, she tried out and made a next level ECNL team and still wanted to play with her travel buddies, when she’s not with her new team. She didn’t give up.
