What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Carter loves OCR because it challenges him physically, mentally, and emotionally. Every race is different with new obstacles and goals, pushing him to see what he’s capable of and learn from both successes and setbacks. Most of all, he values the people, friends and teammates from around the world. He’s proud to compete with them, represent Team USA, and lead as a captain encouraging others.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My biggest inspirations on and off the field is my ninja coach, Joe, who pushes me every week to become stronger, better and pushes me out of my comfort zone; the elite OCR adult athletes that I’ve looked up to and watched compete for years, who inspire me to keep chasing my goals; and, of course, my parents, who support me, believe in me, and are always there for me and demonstrate daily how working hard pays off.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Being named USA National Team captain is the defining moment of my athletic journey and the achievement I am most proud of. It reflects years of hard work and dedication, and it was an honor to lead my team while always supporting my teammates on and off the field. I take pride not only in competing at a high level, but also in being a supportive teammate and role model, someone who encourages others, helps younger athletes grow, and leads with kindness, respect, and a team first mindset.
