What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Carter loves being part of a team and getting to compete in different sports. He loves the excitement of game day, learning new skills, challenging himself, and celebrating with his teammates. Most of all, he loves making the people around him smile and having fun while he plays. Whether he is making a big play or cheering someone else on, Carter brings energy, enthusiasm, and his whole heart to the game.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Carter is inspired by the people who encourage him to work hard, be kind, and never give up. His biggest inspiration is his mom, who teaches him that effort, character, and treating others well matter just as much as winning. On the field, Carter is also inspired by his coaches and teammates because they challenge him to improve and remind him that being a great athlete means helping others succeed too.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes me most proud is watching Carter encourage his teammates, even when the game isn't going his way. He has learned that being a great athlete isn't just about making the biggest play or winning the game. It is about showing up, giving your best, lifting up your teammates, and continuing to believe in yourself. Seeing a 9-year-old understand that sports are about character as much as competition makes me incredibly proud.
