Being talented isn't enough, Carter is self-motivated and asks his mom weekly to search skill drills that he sets up and performs on his own. As he learns more about baseball and basketball, his athleticism shines as a natural leader and a born competitor.
Carter's late father Curtis who first introduced soccer after volunteer coaching his older sisters in FFPS. This past year, Carter finally had time to try baseball, inspired by one-hand MLB pitcher Jim Abbott. Carter is a hometown fan of Rockets player Kevin Durant because of his 3-point talent and because he loves his mama!
Baseball did not come as easily to Carter as basketball or soccer. He felt discouraged because his teammates were established and he needed to catchup on elements of the game. But after pep talks from his coach and me, he stuck with it and was able to add a home run to his team's winning season.
