Sophie Cunningham inspires Cassidy a lot. Cassidy looks up to her for embracing herself as a player & person ; never letting others opinions of her or her skin color get in the way of her goals.
If I had to choose one moment in Cassidys athletic journey that made me the proudest it wouldn't be the time she made PLayer Development Academy in Soccer at TEN years old or got her first middle school goal or the time she won her first track race or reeled in her first fish. I would have to say it would be when she made the Basketball Team in Middle School. She had never played basketball before - although it was not her forte she was really enjoying the game & gave it her all!
