What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Cassidy loves most about playing sports is the challenge. She loves learning something new, working hard at it, and then seeing herself get better. Whether she’s on the basketball court, tennis court, or trying something new, she loves competing, being part of a team, cheering for others, and having the chance to make a big play. Sports have taught her that being the youngest, the smallest, or sometimes even the only girl doesn’t mean she can’t compete. She loves the feeling of overcoming!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Cassidy is inspired most by her family, especially her mom and dad. Her mom played college basketball, so Cassidy has grown up seeing firsthand what hard work, discipline, confidence, and a love for sports can look like. She loves hearing stories about her mom playing and knowing that she can create her own journey too. Her dad inspires her in a different way,he is one of her biggest cheerleaders. Whether she makes the winning basket, steals the ball, or simply gives her best effort!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the proudest moments in Cassidy’s athletic journey was watching her make a steal and score the game-winning layup. What made the moment so special was seeing her stay focused, trust herself, and step up when her team needed her. As a parent, moments like that remind me how much she has grown. She is learning to compete with confidence, handle pressure, and believe that she belongs in every game she plays. Seeing the excitement on her face afterward was Worth It All.
