Join the CompetitionCate would play ball every day of the week if she had it her way. She is at home on the field and constantly works to improve. She plays rec league and travel ball and will play jv this next spring. Her goal is to play for Alabama and eventually coach.
Her favorite players to watch are Vic Moten and Nijaree Cannady. Past coaches are major influences for Cate along with older girls she plays travel with. She also follows the Troy University team in our hometown and gets to know their players.
One thing I will always remember is her first rec league World Series in 2001. She was 6, but led her team and talked them up constantly. Even at that age she could read the field and know where the play was. Her passion for softball is like nothing I have ever seen.
