Cesc-Dinho

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves playing football because it gives him a place where he feels comfortable, happy, and free. He loves being around his teammates, having fun, and learning. Most of all, football gives him a chance to forget about everything else for a little while and just be a kid.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His biggest inspiration on and off the field is his mother and his family. He sees how much time, love, and effort his mother has put into him and everything she does to support him, and he wants to be able to take care of her and his family one day. On the field, he looks up to Beast Mode because he sees a lot of himself in him. After his incident, he’s learned to be strong and keep pushing forward, and he admires that Beast Mode isn’t afraid to take a hit and keeps going no matter what.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes me proudest is seeing how far he has come. There was a time when simply walking again was something we celebrated, so watching him become stronger, healthier, and more confident means so much to our family. His weight clearly bothered him, even though he didn’t talk about it, so seeing him lose the weight in a healthy way was a huge accomplishment. Most of all, we’re proud to see him happy, active, growing, and finding joy in football.
