What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Chandler loves most is that basketball is never the same game twice. He loves the challenge of figuring out what to do next—finding the open teammate, making the right pass, creating a shot, or making a big play when his team needs it. But more than anything, he loves being on the court with his teammates. At 11, basketball is still pure joy to him: competing, learning, celebrating each other and walking out of the gym already excited to play again.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Chandler’s biggest inspirations are his siblings—Everson, Avery and Kennedy. He’s had a front-row seat to each of them working hard at what they love, pushing through challenges and seeing that work pay off. They’ve taught him something no highlight reel could: talent may open a door, but the work is what moves you forward. He knows what hard work looks like because he’s watched it his whole life—and now he’s creating his own version of it on the basketball court.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes me proudest isn’t a basket or an award. After losing his sister Kennedy, Chandler chose to wear #6—her number—as his own. At just 11, he’s found his own way to keep his sister close while continuing to play the game he loves. Every time he steps onto the court in #6, I’m reminded that sports can carry something bigger than wins and losses. For Chandler, that number carries love, memory and a piece of his sister with him wherever the game takes him.
