What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Chandler relishes playing football, as it offers him the opportunity to compete, lead, and challenge himself every time he steps onto the field. As a quarterback, he takes pride in being responsible for his teammates, making accurate reads, and crafting plays. Football has instilled in him discipline, confidence, toughness, and teamwork. Above all, he cherishes the joy of playing with his teammates while striving to become the best quarterback he can be.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Chandler is most inspired by his mom and dad because of the effort, love, and sacrifices they make to put him in the best position to compete and succeed. They constantly remind him that success comes from hard work, discipline, and believing in yourself. Watching how hard they work for him motivates Chandler to give his best effort on the field, in school, and in everything he does. He wants to make them proud and show that their sacrifices are helping him chase his dreams.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments in Chandler’s athletic journey occurred during his 6th grade year. Since 6th graders weren’t permitted to play football, he had the option to wait until the next year. However, instead of doing so, he took a different approach and applied to become the team manager. His motivation behind this decision was twofold: he wanted to gain a sense of responsibility, stay connected to the sport, and absorb as much knowledge as possible to be adequately prepared for 7th grade.
