What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Charley loves being on a team. She is a team player. Gymnastics competition is an individual sport and a team sport. She loves her team and that makes her love the sport.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

She is inspired by all gymnasts that work hard to compete. Gymnastics is difficult and can come with injuries. For her to watch her peers overcome fear and/or injuries is always inspiring to her.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The one moment in her athletic journey that makes me the proudest is her overcoming her own fears. The most recent example is the ability to dismount from the high bar.

Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
