What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreCharlotte loves everything about dance, but especially the people around her. She loves being part of a team, supporting her friends and watching everyone succeed. As she has gotten older, she also loves helping younger dancers at the studio. Dance is her safe place, but it has also given her a place to be a friend, a leader and someone younger dancers can look up to.
Charlotte is inspired by the amazing teachers she gets to work with. They push her hard and sometimes she wants to crack, but she never gives up. She sees how talented they are and wants to keep getting better. They’re also kind and supportive and have shown her that she can do hard things, even when she doesn’t think she can.
What makes me proudest isn’t an award or competition, but watching Charlotte keep showing up. Anxiety has made things hard for her at times, but dance is where she pushes through, supports others and becomes more confident. Seeing her now help and encourage other dancers makes me incredibly proud.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
