He loves hitting homeruns and closing out games as a pitcher. He loves winning! He knows that the work he does in the offseason translates to wins in the regular season.
Shohei Ohtani inspires him on the field. He plays both sides of the field as a pitcher which is rare in today's game. He also admires Bo Porter and is inspired by the development of the Bo Porter Academy academically as well as baseball development. He recently enrolled there and is currently enjoying his opportunity as an out of state player and scholar.
It made me proud to watch him take one winter last year and totally change his body. He sacrificed ad put in the work every single day. He came back to his travel team a new player. The coaches pulled me to the side and raved about his work ethic. Even after the season they told me that he was by far the best player and also the best kid that they had coached. They told me that I was doing a great job and that made me proud!
