What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreChristopher has always been a team player. He is a great leader. I was stunned when he stepped up and became an advocate for a remedial class in his school. He helped children that have disabilities, for a school period during school. That really made me a happy and proud mother. When there was a child having a bad time on his team, his team mates always turned to him for direction. Christopher is always willing to step up in difficult times. I tell him teamwork makes the dream work.
I feel I have inspired Christopher being a single mother. But I would have to tip my hat off and say his grandfather Gary Davis, a retired Air Force veteran, and current police officer really has been there for us both. My dad is stern and plays no games. Christopher was raised saying Yes Sir, Yes Mamm. Made to keep his room clean, and bed made everyday. An overall good and respectable child.
Christopher had a sporting ceremony last year, where he received MVP. The things his coach stated was just eye watering. I cried listening to him say Christopher was an all around good player and stand up child. He said Chris always showed up early, and was last to leave. He even said Chris was there some days that himself was not there. I just thank God for a great kid. I have watched him grow, and I pray he continues to flourish.
