What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn Morewith his teammates, and being part of something bigger than himself. He loves the challenge of learning new things, getting better every practice, and giving everything he has on game day. Most of all, he loves his team and the feeling of working together toward a common goal. Football has taught him that hard work, determination, and never giving up can make a difference.
Cody is inspired by his coaches, teammates, and family. His coaches push him to work harder and believe in himself, while his teammates remind him that football is about supporting one another. His family inspires him to always give his best, stay humble, and never quit when something gets difficult. Cody wants to make the people around him proud, but more importantly, he wants to become the best athlete and person he can be.
One of our proudest moments was watching Cody get a huge sack on the quarterback. His entire team immediately celebrated and shouted, “Great job, Cody Ford !” Even his coaches recognized how his hard work and dedication had paid off. Seeing his confidence grow in that moment and then watching him and his teammates go on to win the Super Bowl was a memory we will always cherish.
