What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I admire most about Cole's involvement in sports is his focus on setting goals and putting in the hard work required to achieve them. While success and wins are rewarding, he values personal growth, physical fitness, and continuous improvement above all else. He enjoys trying new sports, embracing both physical and mental challenges, and building connections with teammates and coaches. Sports have helped him develop resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of community.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Cole is inspired by the coaches who have been part of his journey. His high school coaches, especially, have shown him what true leadership looks like by investing in him academically, socially, emotionally, and athletically. They make time to talk, joke around, share lunches, and genuinely care about their athletes as people. Cole is also inspired by the countless volunteers who give their time to make sports possible. Seeing the commitment and care of these mentors motivates him to work hard.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

While we are incredibly proud of Cole's achievements in football, wrestling, track and field, and other sports, what makes us most proud is the person he has become. His character, work ethic, leadership, and the way he treats others stand out above any athletic accomplishment. He has earned recognition not only for his performance, but for qualities like integrity, respect, and perseverance. The awards are meaningful, but the person behind them is what makes us proudest.
